A Lifetime of Championing Inclusion
Having worked across the public, private and third sectors, I’ve been deeply invested in creating inclusive environments and advocating for equality wherever I've been. I cut my teeth at UNISON's headquarters, planning and implementing disabled access at national conferences, ensuring accessibility wasn't just an afterthought but a priority. From there, I served as an Equality Officer in the National Executive Office, championing equity and inclusion at the highest levels. I have always taken a personal approach to ensuring we meet our corporate responsibilities, from serving as Chief Charity Advocate to shaping the growth of fledgling neurodiversity networks. My experiences have shaped my belief that true inclusion isn’t just about policies or checklists, it’s about nurturing environments where everyone feels valued and empowered. Through my work, I’ve had the privilege of supporting neurodivergent individuals and creating spaces that resonate deeply with their needs. I've seen for myself the transformative power of empathy and community in the workplace. Now, I help passionate employers embed those same values into their workplaces, so neurodivergent employees not only perform at their best but feel truly understood, supported, and above all - celebrated!
