“The curious paradox is when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
- Carl Rogers

About Me

I first started working in mental health in 2012, supporting people across a wide range of backgrounds. It shaped my approach to life today - valuing community, integrity, and above all, compassion.

As an AuDHD therapist, I combine professional training with lived experience. My practice is neuroaffirming, with a focus on creating a space where everyone feels safe and welcome.

How I work

My work as a psychotherapeutic counsellor is integrative. This means I draw on different therapeutic theories to make sure the work fits you - whether that involves exploring your past or identifying patterns that affect you in the here-and-now.

Many of my clients are looking for a space where they are finally believed: a place to speak openly without the fear of being judged or misunderstood. Your unique perspective and your experiences are at the centre of our work together, ensuring you are truly heard. This way of working is fundamental to how I support all my clients.

Specialist Work

Beyond my private practice, I work with Thriving Autistic, providing therapy for adults following an Autism and/or ADHD diagnosis. I also provide expert insight on mental health and neurodivergence for international publications, including WebMD, Psychologist Brief, and Counselling Matters.

Roots and Reach

I'm from the Isle of Wight and have lived and worked across the UK. I continue to work with clients on the Island alongside my national and international work.

Authenticity underpins my practice. I bring the same committed, open-minded, and down-to-earth approach to every person I meet.

Working with Jennifer has given me a lot of confidence that I didn’t have before. I found her to be very warm, non-judgemental, and a really great listener. I came to see Jennifer when I was experiencing anxiety during my pregnancy and being able to speak with her helped me so much. I would whole-heartedly recommend reaching out to Jennifer if you want to be able to overcome whatever issue is holding you back.

Thank you for listening, being supportive and helping me work through a tough time I was having and helping me make sense of things and coming to conclusions. It was good to be able to talk through, you helped me pick apart why things weren't working for me perhaps because of my ADHD brain, and helped me see my strengths.

I highly recommend Jennifer to anyone seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and solution-focused therapist. She has an incredible ability to meet you where you are, making every session feel safe, supportive, and judgment-free. Her expertise in neurodiversity ensures that she truly understands and respects different ways of thinking, helping clients feel seen and validated.
